The ends slip around your hat band. Nothing gets sewn, glued or punched through, and it comes off again whenever you want.
Slide the bead
The bead moves up to snug it under your chin and back down when you want it loose.
Leave it on
It sits flat against the brim when you are not using it, so it lives on the hat.

Fits the hat you own
Straw, felt, wide brim, cowboy, floppy. If it has a brim, the strap goes on it.
Crocheted by hand
Each one is crocheted by hand by local artisans, so no two come out quite the same.
Washes fine
Yarn cord. Soap, water, lay it flat to dry. It will not shrink away from you.
Where the money goes.
Every strap is crocheted by hand here in the United States.
Net profits go to Helping America Now, a 501(c)(3) in Lancaster, California that provides housing, start up capital and jobs for homeless veterans and adults living with mental disabilities.
They put it better than we can. Their work is to empower people to take back their lives by improving their situation.
So the twelve dollars keeps your hat on your head, and then it goes to work again.
